Conclusion
So, that ends my report on the Cuban Missile Crisis. I hope you learned a lot about the topic and about my opinion if we should have gotten involved or not. I also learned a bit of information my self and how close we were to starting nuclear war. But now i know the smart decisions that JFK had made to save our country.
Fourth Paragraph and Fifth Paragraph
Fourth Paragraph:
The outcome of the Cuban Missile Crisis was that JFK and Nikita Khrushchev and Fidel Castro decided that they didn't want to go around bombing there country's to bits and pieces so in October of 1962 JFK, Nikita Khrushchev, and Fidel Castro all signed a peace treaty saying that they will never invade each others country's again. SO, right then and there the Cuban Missile Crisis ended and just barley in time because if it had gone on for another week or two then there would probably be the first ever nuclear war.
Fifth Paragraph:
I thnk it was a good idea to get involved because if we didnt then the Soviet Union would have bombed America and that wouldnt be good. So i thnk it was a good choice in JFK's part to get involved and stop the bombing.
But in other ways i thnk its a bad idea because if we hadnt gotten involved then maybe they wouldn't have ever set off the bombs and then that whole conflict wouldn't have ever started. So, then Russia and the US might have been closer, more friendlier country's. Thats what I think.

Second Paragraph and Third Paragraph
Second Paragraph:
During World War2 Russia and America combined forces to defeat Hitler and succeeded. After the war between Russia and the US a split occurred. Now they were enemies. Because of the political differences and because Russia was a Communism (meaning every one is equal) and the US didn't like that AT ALL and the US was a democracy and Russia didn't like that either. Then in 1946 the US recognized the aggression in Russia. So, the US discontinued the supply of led, copper, etc.. But, for Russia that was very important materiel so the communism got very angry and joined alliances with Cuba. In 1948 the split really began and that was what they called the Cold War. The split or hatred between the US and Russia was so great that both of the countries threatened to bomb each others countries.
Third Paragraph:
By 1962 the Soviet Union and the US were practically playing tug of war. Meaning, if JFK (John F. Kennedy) threw a bomb at Cuba then Fidel Castro (president of Cuba) and Nikita Khrushchev (President of the Soviet Union) would throw right back. Also in the US the Americans were getting very nervous because they didn't know if a bomb would fall from the sky and kill them all. So, America was on it's toes. The Cuban Missile Crisis was also a desicion away from beginning nuclear war for the first time in world history.
Some major events were on the 27th in October when an American spy plane was shot down when flying through the sky's of Cuba. I think that's when JFK really started to get angry. Another major conflict was on October 23 when JFK sent out troops to try and invade Cuba but where stopped by other Cuban troops at the Bay of Pigs.
